Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bilaspur started from 19 June 1984 and working as per mandates finalized by ICAR and the University to trained and demonstrate the farmers about improved agricultural technology to uplift their standard of living. In 1994 – 95 the total farm area of 11.20 ha was transferred from RARS, Sarkanda Farm to the KVK to establish demonstration unit. Since then, the KVK farm is producing seed of different crops to ensure the availability of good quality seed to the farmers. Currently, the area under cultivation in the KVK instructional farm is 6.82 ha. The KVK also has a dairy unit for demonstration purpose.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bilaspur was sanctioned vide letter no. F(1) (2)/84/KVK/ Dt. 30/05/1984 and established in June 19, 1984, under Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur. For the Past 29 years, KVK Bilaspur has served the district for the extension of improved agricultural technologies to the farmer's field. Hon'able Vice Chancellor of IGKV, Raipur is Dr. S. K. Patil,. who is the Youngest Vice Chancellor of the University. Director Extension Services is Dr. M.P. Thakur and Programme Coordinator of KVK, Bilaspur is Dr. R.N. Sharma.
